This policy applies to all information collected or submitted in the BloodNumbers app for iPhone and iPad, our website, and any other devices and platforms.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information.

If you choose to use my Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that I collect is used for providing and improving the Service. I will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible here unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

Use of BloodNumbers does not require an account. Your use of BloodNumbers is anonymous, without any associated email addresses or passwords.

You may optionally use Apple iCloud to store a private copy of your data, which also allows this data to be synced among multiple deviced logged in to the same iCloud account. We do not have access to your BloodNumbers data, whether you choose to store it in iCloud or not. If you choose not to enable iCloud storage or BloodNumbers, then the only copy of your data created or maintained by BloodNumbers is on your local device

We store information about your blood counts, and other laboratory data. This data may be entered manually by you, imported by you from a file, imported from Apple Health Records, or imported from an external electronic health record (EHR) system.

In case of an error in the app, BloodNumbers collects data and information on your device called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing the Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

BloodNumbers does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Technical basics

If you load data to BloodNumbers, we store this data until you delete it.

If you enable import from Apple Health Records or external EHR systems, we store a temprary token to allows this.

iCloud

With your permission, BloodNumbers stores your data in Apple’s iCloud service, to enable some sync features between all devices signed into your iCloud account.

Ads and analytics

The BloodNumbers app may collect aggregate, anonymous statistics, such as the percentage of users who use particular features, to improve the app.

No personal data is used to target ads in BloodNumbers.

Information usage

We use the information we collect to operate and improve our website, apps, and customer support.

We do not share personal information with outside parties. We may share anonymous, aggregate statistics with outside parties, such as how many people use the BloodNumbers app.

We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.

In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.

Security

We implement a variety of security measures to help keep your information secure. For instance, all communication with the app and website requires HTTPS.

Accessing, changing, or deleting information

You may access or change your information or delete your data from the BloodNumbers iOS app, as well as from iCloud storage used by BloodNumbers.

California Online Privacy Protection Act compliance

We comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act compliance

We never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

Information for European Union customers

By using BloodNumbers and providing your information, you authorize us to collect, use, and store your information outside of the European Union.

International transfers of information

Information may be processed, stored, and used outside of the country in which you are located. Data privacy laws vary across jurisdictions, and different laws may be applicable to your data depending on where it is processed, stored, or used.

By using the BloodNumbers app or sites, you consent to our privacy policy.
